Some people exist only in the histories, others only in the novels. These 1059 exist in both. The Records of the Three Kingdoms has Guan Yu defeated and executed at Maicheng; the Romance of the Three Kingdoms gives him a duel with Hua Xiong that the histories assign to someone else.
