A general of the Eastern Han who held the emperor. A general at the end of the Eastern Han who once allied with Lü Bu. He joined forces with Han Xian to attack Lü Bu, but was later persuaded by Lü Bu to turn against him and jointly attack Yuan Shu's forces.
In fiction · Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Yang Feng was originally a Cavalry Commandant of Han. Angered that his merits were not rewarded as well as a witch's, he later rebelled against Li Jue and escorted the emperor to Huayin. Later, he and Han Xian defected to Yuan Shu, but were persuaded to rebel by Chen Deng, and ultimately were killed by Liu Bei.

History vs. fiction
The specific manner in which Liu Bei killed Yang Feng
In official history, Liu Bei directly sent troops to intercept and killed Yang Feng and Han Xian when they were plundering. In the novel, it was changed to Liu Bei holding a banquet, throwing a cup as a signal, and Guan Yu and Zhang Fei killing them during the feast. Records of the Three Kingdoms records: 'Yang Feng and Han Xian raided Xu and Yang, and the Lord (Liu Bei) intercepted and killed them all.' In Chapter 17 of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it is changed to: 'Bei then set up a banquet, pretending to invite them to discuss matters; during the drinking, he threw the cup as a signal, and had his two brothers Guan and Zhang kill them, and all their troops surrendered.'
