The same Jiang Ziya who serves as the venerated strategist of King Wu in the Records of the Grand Historian wields the Whip of Gods as a Kunlun disciple in the Ming-dynasty novel Investiture of the Gods. This site places 242 figures and 1106 relationships from both canons — plus the creatures of the Classic of Mountains and Seas — on a single interactive graph. Historical figures are solid circles with solid lines; mythic beings are glowing diamonds with dashed lines; and 32 figures who live in both worlds wear a golden ring. Every relationship is cited to its source chapter.
