Sima Fu successively held the posts of Crown Prince's Attendant, Palace Secretary, Grand Tutor, etc. After Cao Cao's death, he urged Cao Pi to establish the heir early. When Sima Shi was in power, he agreed to establish Cao Mao as emperor. After Cao Mao was killed, he wept over his corpse and requested that he be buried with the rites of a king. After the fall of Wei, he still regarded himself as a Wei minister.
