History vs. fiction
Mengchang Jun's trick of crowing like a rooster and stealing a fox-fur coat to escape from Qin
According to the 'Records of the Grand Historian: Biography of Mengchang Jun', his retainers 'at night acted as dogs to enter the Qin palace treasury and steal the white fox-fur coat' and 'a retainer who sat in the lower seats was able to imitate a rooster's crow, and when the roosters all crowed, they were allowed to pass through the pass.' The novel 'Chronicles of the Eastern Zhou Kingdoms' adapted this story, and although it is strange, it is recorded in history.
