A native of Handan, Guangping. He authored the 'Huanglan' and 'Xinlu', and rose to the position of Sanqi Changshi. As a Changshi of Wei, he devised the method of assessment and wrote the 'Renwuzhi' among other works. He was well-versed in scholarly records.
