Cousin of Sun Jun, after taking power he deposed Sun Liang, and was later killed by Sun Xiu. A powerful minister of Wu, deposed Sun Liang. A member of the Wu royal family, executed Teng Yin and Lü Ju, and was later attacked by Zhu Yi.
In fiction · Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Sun Chen was the chancellor of Eastern Wu, monopolizing power in assisting the government. When Zhuge Dan rebelled, he sent troops to help, but later due to unfavorable war situation, he killed the general Zhu Yi and retreated. Later he deposed the Wu ruler Sun Liang and installed Sun Xiu as emperor, acting arrogantly and tyrannically, and was finally executed by Emperor Jing Sun Xiu.
