A general of the Eastern Han who held the emperor hostage. A general at the end of the Eastern Han who once allied with Lü Bu. He joined forces with Yang Feng to attack Lü Bu, but was later persuaded by Lü Bu to turn against him and jointly attack Yuan Shu's forces.
In fiction · Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Han Xian came from the White Wave Army, and was once ordered to rescue the emperor, later being appointed General of the Eastern Expedition. He and Yang Feng escorted the emperor, and later defected to Yuan Shu. He was persuaded to rebel by Chen Deng, and was eventually killed by Liu Bei.

History vs. fiction
In the official history, Liu Bei ambushed and killed them, while the novel changed it to Liu Bei assassinating them at a banquet.
Regarding the deaths of Han Xian and Yang Feng, the official history 'Records of the Three Kingdoms, Book of Shu, Biography of the Former Lord' only records: 'Yang Feng and Han Xian raided Xu and Yang, and the Former Lord ambushed and killed them all.' It was an interception and killing while they were raiding. However, 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' Chapter 17 dramatizes the plot, rewriting it as Liu Bei setting up a 'Hongmen banquet': 'Therefore Bei prepared a banquet and falsely invited them to discuss affairs; during the drinking, he dropped the cup as a signal, and had his younger brothers Guan and Zhang kill them, and all their troops surrendered.'
