Son of Gongsun Du, led an army to defeat Goguryeo. Divided the wasteland south of Tunyou County to establish Daifang Commandery. As son of Gongsun Du, he succeeded his father and beheaded Yuan Shang.

Gongsun Kang was the Administrator of Liaodong. When Yuan Shang and Yuan Xi fled to him after defeat, Gongsun Kang held a banquet, captured and killed them, and presented their heads to Cao Cao, thereby surrendering to Cao Cao.
