According to the 'Classic of Mountains and Seas: The Great Wilderness, North Classic', Chi You summoned the Wind Earl and Rain Master to unleash great winds and rain, so the Yellow Emperor sent down the heavenly maiden called Ba. When Ba appeared, the rain stopped, and Chi You was killed. However, because Ba herself possessed a strong drought attribute, she 'could not return to heaven', causing the place where she lived to never have rain. This tragic goddess image and her deeds have a complete and unique record in the 'Classic of Mountains and Seas'.
