A ruler of the state of Zhao, who promoted Hu Fu Qi She (wearing Hu clothing and practicing horseback archery), once disguised himself as an envoy and entered Qin.

According to the Records of the Grand Historian, Chapter on the Zhao Family: 'The reason the Lord Father entered Qin was to personally survey the terrain and to observe the character of the King of Qin.' The Chronicles of the Eastern Zhou Kingdoms, Chapter 93, also includes this episode, and adds the plot of King Zhaoxiang of Qin being greatly startled and pursuing him: 'King Zhaoxiang was greatly startled, stamped his foot and said: "The Lord Father has greatly deceived me!" He then ordered Jingyang Jun and Bai Qi to lead three thousand elite troops and pursue him day and night.'
