Niu Fu's purpose of action
In Chapter 9 of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the motive of revenge is added: "On the way he met Dong Zhuo's son-in-law, General of the Household Niu Fu, who was leading five thousand troops, intending to avenge his father-in-law." In the Records of the Three Kingdoms, Book of Wei, Biographies of Xun Yu, Xun You, Jia Xu, there is only an objective statement of military stationing: "Dong Zhuo's son-in-law, General of the Household Niu Fu, was stationed at Shan, and Jia Xu was in Fu's army."
