Peng Yang, a hero of Shu, was demoted to a slave for offending Liu Zhang, then defected to Liu Bei and was appointed as a staff member. Originally a subordinate of Liu Zhang, he later surrendered to Liu Bei. Ultimately, he was granted death for plotting rebellion.
