Assistant in the Imperial Library, consulted with Meng Guang. As Prefect of the Imperial Library in Shu Han, he was indifferent to fame and wealth, and wrote 'Shi Ji'. A minister of Shu Han, he drafted the surrender document and accompanied the Later Lord eastward.
In fiction · Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Xi Zheng was an official of Shu Han, serving as Assistant in the Imperial Library. When Jiang Wei launched his northern expeditions, Xi Zheng suggested that he station troops in Tazhong to avoid disaster. When Wei forces attacked Shu, he advised the Later Lord to summon Zhuge Zhan to resist the enemy. After the fall of Shu, Xi Zheng accompanied Liu Shan to Luoyang and taught him to respond to Sima Zhao with 'I miss Shu', which allowed Liu Shan to end his days peacefully.
