Xin Pi was the younger brother of Xin Ping. He once went as an envoy to Cao Cao and later served him. As a Wei general, he led troops with Sun Li to assist Cao Zhen, and also submitted a memorial requesting aid. Later, he became Commandant of the Guards and, holding the tally, conveyed the edict not to fight.
