Originally a grain transport officer under Su Hu, the Marquis of Jizhou, he apprenticed to Immortal Du'e and cultivated the unique art of emitting a white light from his nose to capture souls. After following Su Hu in surrendering to the Zhou dynasty, he served as the grain transport officer for the three armies, repeatedly using his unique art to capture Shang generals. He was later killed by Jin Dasheng and was enfeoffed as one of the Heng-Ha Er Jiang.
