In fiction · Journey to the West
Huian Xingzhe is a disciple of Guanyin, secular name Muzha, the second prince of the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li. He was ordered by the Bodhisattva to assist the pilgrimage team multiple times, once fought with Sun Wukong and was defeated, also helped cross the Flowing Sands River, borrowed the Heavenly Blade, and distinguished the true and false pilgrims, etc.

In "Investiture of the Gods," Muzha is a disciple of Puxian Zhenren. However, in Chapter 006 of "Journey to the West," Huian Xingzhe is the eldest disciple of Guanyin Bodhisattva and the second son of Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li, often accompanying Guanyin as a Dharma protector.
