In fiction · Journey to the West
Chen Qing was the head of Chen Family Village. Together with his elder brother Chen Cheng, he received Tang Sanzang and his disciples. His son Chen Guanbao was only seven years old, and the family was troubled by the sacrificial affair. When Tang Sanzang and his disciples returned from obtaining the scriptures, Chen Qing and Chen Cheng set up incense tables, ordered drums and music, and welcomed them at the gate.
