Is “The process of amnesty and enlistment” true?

In "Water Margin", Song Jiang repelled government troops multiple times before accepting the court's proactive amnesty; however, according to the "History of Song: Biography of Zhang Shuye", Song Jiang was ambushed and defeated by Zhang Shuye at Haizhou, and was forced to surrender. The original text states: "于是募死士得千人，设伏近城，而出轻兵距海，诱之战。" It also says: "擒其副贼，江乃降。" (History of Song: Biography of Zhang Shuye)
