According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms, Book of Wu, Biography of Lu Xun, Lu Xun held his ground at Xiaoting without engaging, then seized the opportunity to use fire attack, destroying over forty of Liu Bei's camps and crippling the main force of Shu.
