Dipankara Buddha is an ancient Buddha in Journey to the West mythology, who once discoursed with Taishang Laojun. When Tang Sanzang and his disciples were fetching scriptures, Dipankara Buddha discovered the wordless scriptures on the treasure pavilion and sent the venerable Bai Xiong to seize them back.
