The White Hero Venerable is a disciple of the Ancient Buddha Burning Lamp. When Tang Sanzang and his disciples returned from obtaining scriptures, because the scriptures they received were wordless, the venerable, following the order of the Ancient Buddha Burning Lamp, reached out from midair and snatched the scrolls, causing the disciples to discover that the scriptures were wordless, and thus they were able to return to Spirit Mountain to exchange for the true scriptures.
