In fiction · Journey to the West
Lingxu Zi was a friend of the Black Bear Spirit, whose true form was a gray wolf spirit. When Sun Wukong fought the Black Bear Spirit, Lingxu Zi came to attend a gathering and was killed by Sun Wukong. Guanyin Bodhisattva transformed into his likeness to help Sun Wukong subdue the demon.
