In fiction · Journey to the West
Linglichong is a minor demon from Lotus Flower Cave, who together with Jingxigui holds the Purple-Gold Red Gourd and the Jade Purifying Vase. Sun Wukong transforms into an old Taoist and uses a fake gourd that can hold the sky to trick them into exchanging their treasures. After Linglichong and Jingxigui realize they have been deceived, the treasures are beyond recovery.
