Kui Mu Lang is one of the Twenty-eight Mansions. For some reason, he was demoted to the Tushita Palace, and later descended to the mortal world as a demon. As one of the Four Wooden Beast Stars, he participated in sweeping away the herd of bulls and rescuing Tang Sanzang and others.
