In fiction · Journey to the West
Kou Liang is the eldest son of Kou Hong and is a scholar. After Tang Sanzang and his disciples stayed at the Kou family's home, Kou Hong was murdered. His mother mistakenly believed it was done by Tang Sanzang and his companions. Kou Liang, trusting his mother's words, together with his younger brother Kou Dong, filed a lawsuit accusing Tang Sanzang and the others.
