In fiction · Investiture of the Gods
Hongjun Daoren is the teacher of the Three Teachings; Laozi, Yuanshi Tianzun, and Tongtian Jiaozhu are all his disciples. During the Investiture of the Gods, the Three Sect Masters fought due to conflicts among their disciples. Hongjun Daoren personally came to mediate, gave them pills to swallow, and restrained them from further conflict, thus quelling the dispute.
