In fiction · Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Guan Ping was originally the second son of Guan Ding. After adopting Guan Yu as his father, he followed him in campaigns. He participated in battles at Bowang Slope and Huarong Trail, and intercepted enemy forces multiple times. When Guan Yu launched the Northern Expedition, Guan Ping served as deputy general, was shot by an arrow while saving his father, and later was trapped with his father in Maicheng. During the breakout, he was captured and killed.
