In fiction · Journey to the West
Dragon King of the South Sea, brother of Ao Guang (East Sea), Ao Run (West Sea), and Ao Shun (North Sea). He provided Sun Wukong with the Phoenix-Winged Purple Gold Crown. During the contest in Chechi Kingdom, he was summoned by Sun Wukong to bring rain. In the story of Red Boy, he assisted his elder brother in bringing rain.
