Is “Suggested comforting the families of Huainan soldiers” true?

In Chapter 110 of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, when Sima Shi pacified Huainan, he 'then invited Taiwei Wang Su to discuss', and Wang Su suggested: 'Now the families of the Huainan soldiers are all in the Central Plains; we should quickly comfort them, and moreover use troops to cut off their return route, then there will be a collapse.' This advice is not found in the official histories such as Records of the Three Kingdoms, Book of Shu, Biography of Dong, Liu, Ma, Chen, Dong, and Lü, where Wang Su is mentioned.
