Is “The companions of Fan Sui when he avoided the search of the chariot by the Marquis of Rang differ” true?

The official histories record that Fan Sui anticipated the Marquis of Rang would come to search the chariot, so he got off alone and fled to avoid it, see Records of the Grand Historian, Biography of Fan Sui and Cai Ze: "Thereupon Fan Sui got out of the chariot and walked, saying, 'This will surely be regretted.' After walking more than ten li, indeed [the Marquis] sent riders back to search the chariot; there was no guest, so they stopped." In the novel, it is rewritten that Fan Sui and Zheng Anping together accompanied Wang Ji back to Qin, and when fleeing, he also called Zheng Anping to get off with him, and added dialogue of the pursuing riders, see Chronicles of the Eastern Zhou Kingdoms, Chapter 097: "Then he called Zheng Anping to flee together. Wang Ji's chariot and baggage were behind; after about ten li, the sound of horse bells came from behind, and indeed twenty riders came flying from the east, catching up with Wang Ji's chariot and baggage."
