Is “The settings of Nezha in Investiture of the Gods and Journey to the West are different.” true?

In volume 014 of 「Fengshen Yanyi」, Nezha is written as the disciple of the immortal Taiyi Zhenren, with a lotus flower incarnation, assisting the Zhou dynasty in overthrowing the Shang dynasty. The book records: “此乃哪吒莲花化身，见师父拜倒在地。真人曰：……真人传哪吒火尖枪”. However, in 「Xiyouji」, chapter 83 and elsewhere, he is set as the son of the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, who once cut his flesh to return to his mother, and the Buddha saved him with green lotus roots as bones, now a heavenly general.
