Is “Believed slander and caused Bo Piwan's death” true?

The Records of the Grand Historian, in the 'Hereditary House of Chu,' records that it was Fei Wuji's slanderous accusations that led to Bo Xiwang's death, and that Prime Minister Zi Chang (Nang Wa) later executed Fei Wuji to quell public outrage. However, the novel reconstructs this causal relationship, depicting Nang Wa as believing Fei Wuji's slander and, in a rage, directly ordering the burning of Bo Xiwang's residence, causing his death, thereby rewriting the original punisher of evil into a deceived accomplice.
