The History of Song, in the Annals of Huizong, only records for the Xuanhe period the sentence 'Gao Qiu was appointed as Grand Preceptor with the rank of Three Excellencies,' and the entire book does not include a biography for him, nor any record of him leading troops to fight against Song Jiang. The one who suppressed and captured Song Jiang was Zhang Shuye, as recorded in the Biography of Zhang Shuye.
