Records of the Three Kingdoms, Book of Wu, Biography of Gan Ning, records that Gan Ning led a hundred elite soldiers in a night raid on Cao Cao's camp, beheading enemies and capturing banners without any casualties. Sun Quan praised him, saying, 'I have Gan Xingba.'
