According to Records of the Three Kingdoms, Book of Wu, Biography of Cheng Pu, Cheng Pu served Sun Jian, Sun Ce, and Sun Quan. During the Battle of Red Cliffs, he and Zhou Yu were co-commanders and defeated Cao Cao's forces.
