In fiction · Journey to the West
The Five Dragons are dragon deities under Emperor Zhenwu. When Sun Wukong sought help at Mount Wudang due to the ordeal at the Little Thunderclap Monastery, Zhenwu dispatched the Turtle and Snake Generals along with the Five Dragon Spirits and other followers to assist. The Five Dragon Spirits arrived with the other deities at the Little Thunderclap Monastery and fought against the demons, but were captured by the demon's bag and failed to achieve merit.
