In fiction · Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Lady Wu was the wife of Sun Jian and mother of Sun Ce and Sun Quan. During Sun Ce's reign, she advised him not to kill Yu Ji. After Sun Quan succeeded, she entrusted her son to Zhou Yu and Zhang Zhao before her death. Before the Battle of Red Cliffs, she reminded Sun Quan to consult Zhou Yu. Later, she facilitated the marriage between Liu Bei and Lady Sun, and prevented Sun Quan from attacking Jingzhou.
