In fiction · Journey to the West
Pilanpo is a bodhisattva of Qianhua Cave on Ziyun Mountain, and her son is the Star Officer of the Sun. When Tang Sanzang and his disciples were trapped by the golden light of the centipede spirit, Pilanpo broke the light with her embroidery needle, subdued the centipede spirit, and gave them an antidote pill.
