Cao Jie was a eunuch of the Eastern Han Dynasty, ranked among the Ten Attendants, who held control over the court and framed loyal officials. He once schemed to frame Cai Yong, causing him to be punished. Later, he and his associates kidnapped the Empress Dowager, interfered in state affairs, and accelerated the decline of the Han Dynasty.
